My Story
My fitness journey first started in August 2019, I was terrified and unsure on how, when and what to do when it came to the gym or fitness. I proceeded to try and train on my own but ended up injuring myself very quickly. After taking a few weeks off from going to the gym and tending to my injury.. (and ego!) I worked up the courage to try again, but this time I decided to approach one of the gym trainers.
I explained my injury and how it had happened. The trainer talked me through what I was doing wrong, set up the machine correctly for my height, abilities and experience and instantly the movement felt so much better! The next day, the trainer approached me and offered me one-to-one trial sessions, which I was happy to try as he was knowledgeable and friendly. Now 18 months later I have lost nine stone, feel amazing and ended up falling in love with fitness!
Inspired by what my trainer was able to help me achieve, I decided to change careers and get my level 3 personal training qualification so I could help others like me with their fitness goals, help them to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin, and get people loving fitness!
One-to-One Personal Training.
This is a private one-to-one training session with a client and a personal trainer. This session is designed to give the client maximum benefit and personal focus. With one-to-one training you can target specific problem areas or embark on an overall transformation. During your regular sessions, I will help you to achieve your goals by guiding you through your customised fitness programme and adapting your programme as and when required.
A personalised plan typically gives better results than just training on your own or following a generic programme you have read in a magazine, seen online or had recommended by a friend. A personalised plan is tailored to fit your needs and lifestyle as well as your likes and dislikes. One of the key ingredients in my training style is fun! You need to enjoy what you are doing or your training will feel more like a chore- no more workout “dread!”
No two bodies are the same, each person is unique and different in their own way and so should their training and nutrition!
My one-to-one personal training programmes will be designed with you at the heart of every decision. Your programme will be individual, inspiring and specific to your fitness goals. Your bespoke training plan will also educate you on the elements of fitness that are relevant to you.
Solo training is the most effective as the focus is solely on you and reaching your goals. Multiple sessions per week will really increase your chances of achieving great results.
With one-to-one personal training you will gradually develop your knowledge of nutrition and workouts as I will not only demonstrate the correct and proper form, but will help you to develop your technique and confidence inside the gym and out. One-to one coaching allows me to get to know you, to learn your weaknesses and strengths, before beginning to turn your weaknesses into strengths!
Duo/Buddy Personal Training
Positioned between one-to-one personal training and group personal training, Duo sessions offer clients many of the benefits of a personal trainer at a lower price point.
Duo/Buddy personal training is where you train with a friend, partner or a buddy. Many people find this to be a cost effective way of hiring a personal trainer as you share the costs of training with another person. This option is perfect for those on a limited budget or couples who want to train together.
Duo/Buddy personal training sessions are designed for paired workouts and are also cheaper than one-to-one training. Some people may not feel confident or ready for one-to-one personal training and may feel better about training with a friend or loved one. Doing this can provide additional motivation and is a fun and enjoyable way of getting your fitness journey started.
Training with a friend or loved one can make your journey easier as you will have someone you know and trust by your side to support and encourage you, as well as myself! It will also make the nutrition side of your journey easier, as you will have someone who can relate to you as their goals may be very similar to yours! It is also a great way to keep you motivated and add a bit of friendly competition to your sessions.
Small Group Training
Small Group Personal training is perfect for those who want the benefits of having a personal trainer but at the shared cost of training in groups of 3 to 6 people. Sessions are tailored to all fitness levels and age groups, and are perfect for family, friends or work colleagues to train together.
Training in small groups is more affordable and fun but still effective. Being part of a group dynamic you are able to build relationships with the trainer and other people who have similar goals, support and feed off each others energy making working out more fun and light hearted. Small group personal training class sizes can range from 3 to 6 people per session , with a duration of around usually 1 hour. It also allows you to benefit from personal training, but for a fraction of the price. It is an affordable and fun way for clients to take advantage of a trainer’s expertise.
Small group training presents the opportunity for people to experience the benefits of the creativity and motivation of a trainer while lowering the financial entry point. It is also a great to way for people to ease into fitness and build a relationship with the trainer before going one-to-one. Having a relationship and having trust in your trainer is key to your success, poor client-trainer relationships lead to failure and excuses not to train!
